Hello dear readers!
Wow, have I missed typing those words. To say a lot has changed since I last shared a post on here would be an understatement. But rather than bore you with the details, I’ll offer you the reader’s digest version.
Last we left off, I was starting my journey at culinary school in the summer of 2023. Since then I have:

Graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in London with a diploma in plant-based culinary arts.
Launched my very own business – a plant-forward culinary consultancy by the name of Kinfoli, where I help restaurants and food businesses diversify their plant-based offerings.
Grown and birthed a wonderful tiny human.

(Who in fact, is not so tiny anymore as she’s about to turn one year old!)
It’s been a whirlwind couple of years. I am incredibly grateful to be able to finally pursue a career in the food industry but doing it while balancing pregnancy and the first year of motherhood has been challenging to say the least.
And of course, in typical Nada fashion, I decided what I needed was yet ANOTHER project on my plate.
Enter project re-launch One Arab Vegan.
If you’re a long-time reader, you’ll know that this blog has always been a labour of love. I’ve been developing and sharing recipes online since before the heyday of Instagram and the dawn of ‘snackable’ video content on TikTok. While I love sharing (and consuming) recipes on social media, I am still much fonder of long-form written content. I still read and make recipes from food blogs myself, and my cookbook collection continues to grow at a pace our bookshelves can no longer keep up with.
And so, while I can’t promise that I’ll be churning out recipes 3 times a week, I am planning a slow and steady comeback to blogging.

What I can promise:
- An uplift of the blog you know and love. I’ve been making small but meaningful changes to the site to make it easier for you to read and access recipes. I’ll also be re-testing and updating older recipes based on reader feedback!
- No AI-generated content. Writing is both therapeutic and enjoyable for me, and while ChatGPT is a useful resource in some instances, I want to make sure to preserve as much of my ‘voice’ and storytelling as possible (even if I make mistakes!)
- New recipes! I have a list of new recipes I am crafting for the blog and I am so excited to share them with you. Some of these will be accompanied by content on Instagram, so feel free to follow along there if you’re not already. And if you’re wondering, I will be sharing some baby-friendly recipes too.
I have other plans, but at the risk of overpromising and underdelivering (which I have been known to do) I’ll leave this here.
If you’re still reading – I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Getting your messages, e-mails and comments after all these years brings me more joy than I can express.
Until next week, friends!
Wonderful! So pleased. Take it easy!

Hi Nada,
I was excited to see your email pop up this morning. You’ve been busy! Congratulations on graduating and having your baby. Looking forward to all recipes you share.
Thank you, Chris, for your kind words!
Hi!
Pleased you are back!
And my much delayed welcome to your tiny new human 🙂
Thank you so much!
Congratulations Nada! What a cool diploma to have!!! And congratulations on your little one!!! What fun! I recently found your site as I’ve dabbled in plant based eating, and I decided to spend the next year before I turn 70 years old, trying to eat completely plant based. My big problem is that I get bored with bland food, and that’s where you came into the picture! Thanks for your creative, flavorful recipes! I look forward to continuing on your journey. 🙂
Ann, thank you so much for your kind message, and what an admirable goal! I hope you enjoy the older recipes as well as the ones I’m planning to share soon.
What a journey! Sounds like it’s been an exciting and stretching time. Much grace and joy and energy to you in this new season. Looking forward to those recipes!! Take care, Janet
Thank you so much for the thoughtful message, Janet!
How wonderful! I *just* made your pumpkin kibbeh again last night! Thanks for sharing your excellent recipes and congratulations on all of your accomplishments : )
Kimberly – I’m so happy to hear that! Thank you for following along.
Happy to see you’re back!! I much prefer blog posts and the long form written word as opposed to TikTok or other short form video content, so your return to this medium is great news! I still use your recipes to this day. The date cake recipe is a classic.
I missed your emails. Warm welcom back
Wow Nada, what a wonderful news! Welcome back, big congrats on becoming a mother and boosting your skills in Academy! Looking forward to get lots of new inspiration from you! Thank you for making this world more kind and colourful! Many blessings to all tiny and big humans in your family and all around the world🙏😊❤️
